[Hotel Stay Review]Namba Oriental Hotel’s Massive Renovation! Stayed on the New Residential Floor

Experience a comfortable stay on the 3rd floor “Residential Floor” as if you were “living there”

Located right in the heart of Osaka’s Namba area, within Sennichimae Shopping Street, Namba Oriental Hotel underwent a huge renovation of its 1st to 3rd floors in December 2024, transforming into a modern stay-style hotel.

This time, I stayed in their newly opened “Oriental Premier Residence” (47 sqm) on the Residential Floor.

It truly felt like an apartment where you could actually live – perfect for sightseeing or group stays. Here’s my full review.

A hotel room that feels like your own apartment – spacious 47 sqm

I stayed in the Oriental Premier Residence, which can accommodate up to 6 people.

・Two single beds + a bunk bed (for 6 guests total)
・Private terrace with an open feel to enjoy the city air
・Fully equipped kitchen with cookware for easy self-catering
・Washer-dryer combo (no detergent needed!)

What really impressed me was all the beauty and relaxation amenities:

・Hair iron & dryer
・Foot massager
・Pajamas (top and bottom separate) & Japanese-style slippers

After a day of sightseeing, it was so nice to come back and unwind with these items – a perfect space to reclaim your “me time.”

You can use this lounge as soon as you check in.

A calming lobby – the 3rd floor feels like a different world

The 3rd floor lobby is designed with the concept of “Osaka, the Water Metropolis,” expressing the flow of water and light. From the scents to the sounds and interiors, everything felt relaxing the moment I arrived.

Stepping in from the lively shopping street felt like entering a peaceful oasis, and I really enjoyed that contrast.

Indulgent breakfast at Bloom Field Dining

For breakfast, I visited Bloom Field Dining, the hotel’s restaurant that opened last year.

They had over 70 dishes, including:
・Live kitchen French toast with truffle butter
・Thick filet cutlet burger
・Cheesy croffle benedict
・Kobe high curry with rich spices

Although it was a buffet, each dish was flavorful and satisfying.

Perfect location for sightseeing

Namba Grand Kagetsu and Dotonbori are within walking distance.
You’ll never run out of things to do or eat here. The hotel’s European-style patio courtyard was also beautiful and relaxing.

Summary: A new way to “live” your stay in Namba
