On September 12, 2024, the highly anticipated Hilton Kyoto finally opened its doors! I had the opportunity to stay at this stunning new hotel, and here’s my report! Located just a two-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Subway Station, it offers great convenience. With 313 rooms, it’s a large hotel that welcomes guests with a luxurious and distinctly Kyoto-style hospitality from the moment you arrive.
A Special Moment at the Executive Lounge on the 9th Floor
I stayed in an Executive Room on the top floor, which gave me access to the exclusive Executive Lounge—definitely a highlight! In the lounge, you can enjoy breakfast, light snacks during tea time, and cocktails in the evening. You also have the option to enjoy breakfast either in the lounge or at the spacious all-day dining area on the first floor. Both offer buffet-style meals, but the restaurant on the first floor has an impressive variety of dishes to choose from.
Relaxing Tea Time with All-Day Snacks
From 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the lounge offers an all-day snack service. There’s a delightful spread of matcha chiffon cake, cookies, and nuts, along with a great selection of drinks. You can help yourself to Nespresso coffee, Art of Tea, chilled juices, and soft drinks. It was a perfect moment of relaxation, enjoying delicious treats while taking in the serene Kyoto views.
Indulging in a Luxurious Cocktail Time in the Evening
For those who love a good drink, the evening cocktail time from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM is a must! Champagne, wine, beer, and plum wine are all available. The lounge also serves hot meals and finger foods, including fish and chips, grilled chicken, and penne, along with a wide array of desserts. The portions were generous enough to count as dinner.
Rooftop Bar “CLOUD NEST ROOFTOP BAR” with a View of Kyoto’s Night Sky
After dinner, I headed to the hotel’s rooftop bar, “CLOUD NEST ROOFTOP BAR.” It’s a relaxing, open space where you can enjoy the stunning night views of Kyoto while feeling the evening breeze. Though September in Kyoto was still a bit warm, I’m sure it will become even more pleasant as autumn deepens.
A stay at Hilton Kyoto is filled with luxurious and special experiences. From the stylish atmosphere to the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in Kyoto’s charm, this hotel stay is truly memorable. For your next trip to Kyoto, why not check in at Hilton Kyoto?
